Resources
Both the Illinois Arts Council and the
Illinois Humanities Council offer funding opportunities to not-for-profit organizations
for arts and humanities-related programming. We have indicated whether individuals
and groups in the "A Parade of Programs" database are included in the current
rosters of the Illinois Arts Council’s "Artstour" program and the Illinois Humanities
Council’s "Road Scholars" program. While these two programs have been extremely
popular among libraries, each agency offers a variety of other opportunities.

of Programs" database, Illinois librarians and library staff members have suggested
a number of local resources. So when your library is looking for individuals or
groups to present programs, please keep in mind that some excellent ones may be
right in your own backyard:
